No man’s soil
“No man’s soil” is a product of a long-term artistic research focalized on experience of living in postindustrial hyper-urbanized environments.
Side Note:
Deserted and dreamlike urban landscapes in an indirect way tell the story of people who populate them. In this series of paintings raw and essential architectural elements, roads and railway lines, lamps and wires get a new symbolic dimension, as “eyewitnesses” of the transience, precariousness and loneliness of living in an urban habitat.
Works from this series appeared in:
- 2011 “Russian Metaphysics/ Italian Objectivity: ’beginning of a new century”, Russian Academy of Fine Arts, Moscow, Russia
- 2010 “Made in Mugello”, Villa di Cafaggiolo, Barberino di Mugello, (FI)
